What is a Career Transition Program?

Our approach to career transition is holistic, transformational and practical. A career transition – whilst challenging – can also be a highly valuable opportunity to re-evaluate career and life goals, to learn how to more effectively and strategically manage careers, and to hone job search skills so essential in the current world of work. A career transition program provides essential support – allowing the individual to develop the skills, mindset and know-how to propel their career forward.

How long is a Career Transition Program?

We have a number of different packages from 2 to 12 months’ duration. Everyone has different needs and our programs and approach are both flexible so we can meet those needs.

Our programs – from front line/operational through to senior management – offer different levels – each with a range of coaching hours.

What program level should I offer to employees?

We have a number of options that we have developed to provide optimal support and we offer programs from front line/operational to senior management and executive. Other factors, including length of service with the organisation, should also be considered. We are happy to advise, but ultimately the decision regarding program level is up to the organisation. Whatever level you select, you can be confident that we will provide an excellent service. Please contact tess@nextcoaching.com.au if you would like to discuss program level options.

Are you able to be available on the day (onsite support) in case of redundancies?

Absolutely! We can arrange for a career coach to be at your location to support employees after their announcement/meeting notification. We can provide immediate support, explain options and plan for the future and talk through how they can tell the news to others. We are also able to provide support to managers and the HR team delivering the news.

Do you offer onsite workshops?

Yes! We can provide workshops that make a difference. Career management, resume writing, LinkedIn, networking, interview skills, building resilience, late career and transition to retirement and many others. Contact tess@nextcoaching.com.au to discuss options.

How long have individuals got to take up the program?

Most organisations specify a time limit during which their employees have the option to take up the program. Organisations are not invoiced until a program commences.

How do you provide feedback?

We provide regular communication including program start dates and monthly progress. We maintain strict confidentiality with regard to our coaching clients and details of coaching conversations are not available. We provide results of programs and workshop evaluation and feedback.

What is the cost associated with your programs?

As a boutique provider, we are able to provide an extremely high quality program at a value for money rate – especially when compared with the huge standardised outplacement organisations that predominate in this space. For more information about program levels, workshop options and fees please contact tess@nextcoaching.com.au
